<p>I wanted to have this topic up so we can all list out the different reasons that we have to transfer from school to school.
To make it easier and universal for everyone, name the school that you are already in as “school 1” and the new school that you want to transfer to as “school 2” Here is my list so far:</p>
<p>1) School 1 is Community College–can’t get BA or BS.
2) School 1 is academically not challenging enough.
3) School 1 is Socially inept.
4) School 2 has a stronger program for me.
5) School 2 has a better student-to-teacher ratio.</p>
<p>As you find more reasons, please copy the list that the person above you had so we have one list to look at all at once.</p>
<p>Hope this topic will help y’all on those essays that asks for “why do you want to transfer” I understand there can be many many reasons for this–therefore it should help you guys pick and choose when you are ready to answer those questions. </p>

UC Berkeley has a stronger program for me
UC Berkeley is more prestigious
UC Berkeley wil gimme a lot more than PCC
My family will despise me if I stopped after 2 years of PCC

<p>I am sorry if I wasn’t clear enough before…I was hoping that if we could keep it very general as to the names of the school…so the reasons canbe twisted as needed. So instead of actually literally stating the name of the schools…just say School 1 or School 2. AdamantineX, I would like to thank you for adding to the list. </p>

<p>SO. MUCH. WORD. I was talking to one of my friends about how terrified I am of not getting in anywhere I apply, what will I do, blah blah neurosiscakes, and she was like, “…You’ll get a job. What’s the big deal?” No one else gets it!</p>
<p>While #2, #3, #6, #7 and #9 may be the one’s real reason for switching, don’t mention them in the essay or interview. Always keep your reasons on a “positive” tone.</p>
