Rec books on leadership and management

I would like to read about leadership and management. Can anyone rec some good books?

thxs.

Sure. I preferred Iacocca’s books over Welch’s, but both offer good insights. And don’t miss that old classic “How to Win Friends and Influence People.” If Mary Kay has a book I’d read that also.

One of my favorite professors, Barry Posner, has written a classic - the leadership challenge - which is now in its fourth printing. Highly recommended.

[The Leadership Challenge :: The Leadership Challenge, 4th Edition](http://www.leadershipchallenge.com/WileyCDA/LCTitle/productCd-0787984914.html)

Not exactly a leadership or a motivational book, but a very important piece of reading for anyone who is considering to be in a management/leadership position at some point: a book “The No A*hole Rule: Building a Civilized Workplace and Surviving One That Isn’t” by Robert Sutton, who is a professor at Stanford. (Just put “s” in place of “”).

Thanks for the book titles.

I had a interesting conversation at work about the difference between “leadership” and “management”. Today I heard a politcal commentary on NPR about who will make the best leader and it made me wonder if we need better leadership or management or are they too intertwined to distinguish.

Now off to do some reading.
