<p>I am applying for a leadership program and I got my AP US teacher to do my rec. The letter is a page long and it consists of 3 short paragraphs it and it talks about my GPA and extracurriculars. Is this what it’s supposed to be like this because I’ve never had one.</p>
<p>Ideally your teacher will include personal anecdotes from the classroom to demonstrate your character and ability beyond the raw numbers. When asking for a letter, I might recommend providing your teacher with a short description of some of the traits you’d like him/her to emphasize.</p>
