Recent grad looking for possible careers?

There are a lot of professionals among the CC parents, so I figured I could get some help with brainstorming what careers I’d enjoy. I’m going to post two lists. Tell me any job that comes to mind after reading them. Don’t hold back. It’s just brainstorming at this point. Wild guesses are completely valid.

If anyone’s wondering where this weird exercise is from, it’s a method in What Color Is Your Parachute? by Richard Nelson. I’m kind of embarrassed by how silly this seems, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to give it a try. So here are the lists:

cognitive science (mostly information processing- i.e. perception- and decision making)
philosophy of science
maths

analyzing information for new insights
working with numbers
developing and improving (i.e. personal growth)
writing
storytelling

Quantitative analyst or credit analyst for an investment firm.

Data Science/Data Analyst

Big Data analytics, similar to what SyrAlum posted.

Have you considered an appointment with a career counselor? You might be pleasantly surprised by the information and insight you can learn from those tests and analyses.

Market research/advertising.

I was also going to suggest data analytics, which can be applied to many problem sets.

Videogame design or development would use both your math and writing skills.

Facility with math/ data plus storytelling / writing skills =

Lawyer (complex commercial litigation requires analysis of lots of data, and obviously requires good storytelling / writing skills)

Science or social-science journalist, ala Malcolm Gladwell

I thought writer for Scientific American or other similar science for laymen type journals.
Real estate developer
