Chez Panisse is booked (duh) so I’m open to suggestions for a nice lunch in Berkeley/Oakland – great food/unique/ perhaps with a view or special ambiance? This would be for December 26.

Thanks in advance.

French Laundry?
I’ve heard good things about Commis in Oakland.

French Laundry is too far away – Napa. Commis looks VERY interesting, sadly, they don’t do lunch. But thanks for that recommendation, definitely a place to keep in mind.

Oliveto? A16? both Italian…

There are a couple of restaurants at the Claremont Hotel that have beautiful bay views.

Disclaimer: I lived in Berkeley 30 years ago, but I just looked online and one of my favorite places from back then is still around. Fat Apples. Wonderful pie. We also frequented Spenger’s Fish Grotto, which evidently is now part of McCormick and Schmick’s.

Had dinner at Chez Panisse recently and it was meh.

For lunch, consider Game Demo Slot Pragmatic Terlengkap - Slot Demo Dengan Rupiah Indonesia; in Berkeley

For a view, Skates on the Bay is nice. La Mediteranee has been a favorite for years. The Cheeseboard pizzas are about as Berkeley as you can get.

All great suggestions, thanks! About a billion years ago, @jym626, I used to work not far from Bettes Diner. Glad to hear it’s still going strong.
