I am a high school senior currently applying to colleges. I live in Florida, but geography is no factor in applying to schools (as you’ll see in a second). I wish to double major in economics and either political science or public policy, depending on what the institutions have. I’m looking for colleges that give generous financial aid and scholarships, as that is what I am going to be funding my education with.

My GPA (on 4.0 scale) is 3.64 and my ACT score is 28. I am currently signed up for the October SAT.

Schools I have already applied to:
- New College of Florida (Sarasota, FL)
- Stetson University (DeLand, FL)
- Eckerd College (St. Petersburg, FL)
- Cornell College (Mount Vernon, IA)
- Reed College (Portland, OR)
- Whitman College (Walla Walla, WA)

Schools I am considering applying to:
- Gettysburg College (Gettysburg, PA)
- Colgate University (Hamilton, NY)

What are some other schools that you’d like to recommend I look into? My only requirement is that they allow freshmen to have cars on campus. Right now, New College is currently my safety (I know I can get in and afford it if I do) and my number one choice (I’ve visited there and it was perfect). I just want to fully explore my options. Should I even consider applying to more places, as I have already sent applications into six places?
