<p>I am seeking recommendations and advice for purchasing a power/pressure washer. This will be used mainly for washing my tall 2 story house and 3 rental houses. Occasionally, washing a wood pool deck and wooden fences. Will not be used on vehicles.</p>
<p>I currently have a K’Archer 2300 psi, 2.2 gpm with a Honda motor. It is very easy to start and this is very important to me. However, it will not maintain high pressure for any length of time. The pressure is changed by rotating the barrel on the end of the spray gun. It has been this way since purchase ~8 years ago. VERY annoying. I am at the stage of life where I want quality tools. I don’t mind paying for them, but I want them to WORK.</p>
<p>I have a 5" well. This is not the problem. My friend brought over her smaller washer and it promptly went to work, cleaned the entire porch and siding, and was strong enough to gauge my cedar porch posts.</p>
<p>Any advice on if my particular one is a lemon, or just not strong enough? Even with a smaller one, I think the high pressure spray should be constant. Also, do they all spray the detergent only at low speeds? How do you ever get it on the 2nd story of a house then?</p>
<p>Have been looking at the Brute models, 3000 psi, 2.5 gpm, $400. Not stuck on this brand–it was at the big box store. Would like to spend <$500. H prefers a Honda engine. Any and all advice appreciated!</p>
