Hey there,

I have a quick question. I will appreciate any experiences/opinions you can share. I am having a dilemma. I am applying to grad programs in engineering and sciences. I can get two kinds of letter for my third LOR: a very good recommendation letter from a professor in a different field, namely an international affairs professor and a “decent” letter from a reputed prof. in my field. I had the chance to travel with that INTA professor for six weeks during a special study abroad program, and I took an extra class from him. We had several discussions or other activities on many occasions. So he would certainly know me better, but on the other I am worried whether it will actually help my application since it’s social sciences and I am applying to engineering.

Thanks
