Recommendation Letter from Internship for PhD application

I was wondering how it would look to get a recommendation letter from my boss from an internship for my PhD application. Is it bad that the letter isn’t from a faculty? The work I did isn’t really related to my field but the skills will be used. I am applying for PhD in computational fluid mechanics and did a lot of programming in my internship but not in the area of fluid mechanics. What do you guys think?

As long as you have other letters from professors to address the academic side of things, I think that’s fine.
