<p>I recommend (no pun intended) getting it from the people who will give you the best recs, and if possible, two completely different subject areas (they have to be different–like one can be math and another science, but all other things equal, get one from say, and english teacher and the other from your math teacher or something).</p>

<p>It matters a bit. They say they like recs from teachers in two different fields, but they never really say the opposite fields are better, though it seems to be implied…</p>
