I am a high school senior and I am applying to Upenn ED .
I am kinda confused about this whole recommendation letter requirements.
for example is it fine if i get a recommendation letter from a professor at a university who knows me ? or some one i worked with ? or I am an international student who has been in US for 11 and 12th grade so can I get recommendation letters from teachers back home? or the ones i have done voluntary works with back home?
or should it be only 2 teacher recommendation /counselor ?
and also in common application the only to boxes are teachers /counselor …so that means i cant get a letter from some one who know me?
please help

Admission viewers read your letters of recommendation and form an opinion of you on the basis of your achievements and personal qualities. Therefore it is important that you select certain people who you feel know you well and have a good impression of you. It does not necessarily have to be high school teachers. It can be anyone who knows you well and has a good opinion of you. Therefore, choose your letter-writers wisely</p>
<p>I think it’s 1 counselor + 2 teacher recommendations. UPenn will also accept one more recommendation aside from those mentioned. Bear in mind that UPenn looks a lot on recommendations, so try your best to ensure that they are good. Find somebody who knows you really well instead of someone whose title is shiny.</p>
