Hi, I’m currently attending UC Irvine majoring in math and quantitative econ. By the end of the college, I’m expecting to get about 3.6 gpa in both major and overall. I want to start preparing for graduate school. I want to attend UCLA for graduate school(preferably for Ph.D), but i don’t know about graduate school admission policy, so I’m not sure if it’s a realistic goal or not. I need to take GRE and math subject GRE. Can you guys tell me what score I should aim for in order to get into UCLA? Also, I’m thinking of applying to about 15 schools.
5 dream schools
10 realistic schools
5 safety schools.
What do you recommend??

You might want to check out the grad student subforum here on CC or physicsforums.

This list is old, but it still holds fairly true at the upper end:
