Recommendations and What are my chances....

Hello,

Thank you for your time. I was wondering if you could help me out by answering some of my questions. I am currently a hs senior, and have a gpa of about 90%. I have been involved in several extracurricular activities over the past few years, although my sophomore year was a huge messup. Circumstances required me to miss half of my sophomore year, and I didn’t have any after-school activities. I have taken 3 honors classes throughout my whole hs career, earning Bs and B-s in all. I earned an 1880 on my SAT, and have registered to take them again. One quick question with regards to this; if I just concentrate on the math and verbal sections and don’t even do the writing section, will that be considered cheating? what if I just go over the writing section with random answers and then go back to the math section? I just want to be able to spend a little more time on the math, if at all possible. I am currently enrolled in 2 AP classes and 3 Honors for my senior year. Math and science fall under that umbrella. I would like to go Champlain College for Newtworking Security. What do you think my chances are? Thank you.

I’m sorry I’m in a rush I gtg to work, I’ll post more info if need be. Thank you for your time,

Oh ya, has anyone else ever worried about their recommendations hurting them as opposed to helping? I don’t know any faculty that seem reliable enough to write a good letter of recommendation. Thank you again!

going back to any section after you were supposed to complete it is cheating. i wouldn’t risk it.

Go for the English teachers that don’t hate your guts. English teachers are well-known for their well-crafted letters of Rec.

What you described is definitly cheating. Besides a score of 800/800/200 indicates a lazy slob while a 600/600/600 probably indicates someone who tried hard on the test.
