Back to your original question, I was wondering what AI programs might say. I asked Perplexity and ChatGPT to give me a plan to get to B1 in Italian in 1 year and listed the programs and book that I have. Both gave plans that seem reasonable although too long to paste here. I might even try one of them!
You could try asking what they would suggest using free or low-cost resources if your library doesn’t have Pimsleur, Michel Thomas, Assimil, etc.
