General question:

Since it is widely known that research isn’t that important for M.Eng programs, would it be better to have 2 recommendations from research (PI and post-doc) and 1 from an academic professor? Or the other way around?

At the moment, I have 4 recommendations with 2 coming from academic professors and 2 coming from research.

Personally, I would not use a LOR from a post-doc. I would recommend the 3 LOR coming from professors.

Well, what if personally, I do not know one of the professors as well as I do my post-doc. Yes, I got an A in his class and he is the chairman of the Civil Engineering Department, but I am actually a biomedical eng. student. Should I still go with him over the post-doc?
