Recommendations for Places to build Free (or Cheap) Websites

When my kids were in HS I was a volunteer in a parent volunteer organization and created a website for them hosted on space that I pay for. I’ve been out of the group for a couple years now but have continued to support the group by maintaining and updating the website (and paying for the space). I think it’s time for me to move on. But before I do, I want to create a site that is easily maintained by someone who does not necessarily have HTML and programming skills.

I know there are plenty of sites such to do this, but I’ve never used one since I have the server space and skills needed to do it myself. So, I’m looking for recommendations for such a site. One that’s free (but maybe with pay options if they want to grow the site), and easy for anyone with basic computer skills to update.

Anyone use such a site that they would recommend?

Weebly

Weebly here, too.

Third vote for Weebly!

webs.com

Hi ClaremontMom!

1 Google for nonprofits, many apps including Sites to create websites. Free 30 GB space for Google account.

2 Weebly

WIX is an option too. GoDaddy possibly.

Weebly! Very easy to use

DD paid for a domain in her name from WiX so she has her name and no ads on her page. She liked it and found it easy to use. She can see how it looks on mobile devices while she edits. Her friend uses Square Space. others use Weebly. There seems to be alot on all three. Unless you want something just basic that has the companies name and ads, you will pay something for it. Maybe try those out and see which you find easiest and most suitable.

I’m a Wix fan.
