Hi. My brother plans to get one for our 87-year-old mother. I have a Tracfone and think it’s fine but the keys might be a little small for my mom’s fingers and eyes. Any suggestions for other brands? Thanks.

maybe get something like this unlocked phone with big buttons and SOS function and then get a sim card and plan from a prepaid provider that works best where she will use the phone.
I would have him activate autopay so she does not have to worry about plan expiration dates.
We looked at a bunch for my mom, and determined that it was cheaper to just add her as another line on our family plan.
I think my mom had a “regular” cell phone for awhile and disliked it for some reason. She seems amenable to getting a Tracfone-like phone now. I will ask my brother about the family-plan idea, however.
You probably have several options for phones under the family plan. Maybe she didn’t like the physical phone, but could get a different one.
I think with the SOS function you can program it to call up to 5 emergency contacts. She would only have to press one button.
