Hello,
I’m a rising 9th grader who is looking for summer programs that will let me explore many educational topics at an advanced level. Programs like CTY aren’t very interesting to me because you only learn about one subject. I’m looking for programs no more than four weeks long, and ideally on the East Coast.
Thanks!
You could try to piece together shorter single topic programs into a single summer experience. For example, Brown runs a very large summer precollege program (here: https://precollege.brown.edu/) with courses as short as one week. If you take two or three consecutive one week courses, you can stay on campus between the end of one and the start of another. I’d suspect there are other programs where you could do this as well.
However, in my opinion, being able to dive deeper into a single topic during the summer (as opposed to taking multiple courses at once) is a feature, not a bug, that you might want to consider. A three or four week program still leaves plenty of summer time for independent study, a job, travel, etc.

St Johns also structures its program like that (allowing you to stay on weekends if you are doing consecutive weeks):
I assume the OP would prefer the Annapolis location.
