<p>I’m applying in a few years and I wanted to know. My debate coach is a UPenn alum. If he did my recommendation would that help. Also, how would this work out, is there a way that I can show that he’s an alum?</p>
<p>It absolutely always helps when you have a recommendation written by an alum. Not necessarily because the school will look at the rec more favorably, but because he should absolutely be able to write a recommendation that speaks towards what Penn is looking for and can explain better as to why Penn should accept you.</p>
