<p>I’m split between business school and getting a masters in a technical field, and I’m wondering how much the specificity of a recommendation matters. I have some very good recs from employers for admission to a separate fellowship, but I’m wondering whether I should bother them again for a “tailored” rec to bschool or a masters program. The programs are <em>very</em> competitive, but will they care if the recs are generic and just refer to how I performed in general?</p>
