recommendations

Should I get recommendations (probably 2-3, right?) from academic teachers (I was thinking my english, history, and maybe language teachers) or from theater/music teachers?</p>

<p>theatergirl123, good question! But I would recommend that you look at the application requirements for each and every school on your list and do what they say. Some of your schools may take the common application, so that helps things in that it is less work for you. Some will want recommendations ONLY from academic teachers, whereas others may ask for theater/music teachers or directors. In my D’s experience (she is now a rising sophomore at NYU Tisch-CAP21), the schools mostly are interested in academic teachers’ recs. Most schools like to judge for themselves about your talent level.</p>
