Recommended Study Plan

What is a recommended study plan so I will raise my score from a 1960 to a 2200+ when I re-take the SAT in October?

My last scores were…
700 CR
680 Math
580 Writing

It looks like your CR is pretty good already. You should really aim for at least a 700+ in math. Just do a lot of problems and you’ll soon realize SAT math is all the same questions. Grab a grammar book and memorize all the rules (there’s not that many) and watch your Writing score go up by a lot

Get a good SAT study guide
schedule two hours a day, at set times (two one hour blocks)
Remove distractions; shut off all computers, phones etc
Methodically work your way through the book

Osprey, what grammar book would you recommend?

If you don’t mind I’m willing to make a recommendation for you on the grammar guide, it’s called the Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar by Erica Meltzer. I will be posting a review soon, after I finish reviewing the typos and whatnot. It has everything you could ask for. I had a starting score of 650 in the writing section and improved it to 750 in a matter of weeks.

You can find the book on amazon and at ultimatesatverbal.blogspot.c**
