I have a best composite SAT 1 score of 2050 (760 math 710 writing 580 CR), 2100 super score (630 CR on my first try), my school grades have been A- for the every year except 12 is which is at the moment A, doing SAT 2 physics and math 2, one of the best activtiy records in my class with a lot of charity work and work experience, and am applying in the US and Canada. I have made my list of universities but I would like to hear from a second person on what should be at the top of my list and a good safety school.
So what schools are on your list?
If your top choice is HYPS or a similarly selective school, that’s an automatic reach. For schools with sane admissions, we’d need to see the list.
Stanford UCB Northwestern UIUC Purdue McGill Walterloo UofT and UBC
Stanford is a complete crapshoot for anyone, but your SAT score is well below the midrange, which hardly helps. UCB and Northwestern are also reaches, the latter due to your CR+M score of 1340. That isn’t to say you shouldn’t apply, but don’t get your hopes up.
Purdue seems like a closer fit, depending on your ECs and recommendations, and UIUC could be plausible as well depending on your major. Can’t comment as to the Canadian schools.
