When my son visited Reed, his overnight host in the dorm had a Golden Retriever living with him. The dog wasn’t an “official” resident, but the host told my son that no one really minded. And, when my son interviewed, his admissions interviewer had her dog sit in on the interview. A lot of the faculty bring their dogs to work with them so it is not unusual to find a dog wandering down the hallway of classroom/office buildings - there’s even a water fountain on campus just for dogs. My son loves Reed’s dogs, but I could see how someone who isn’t an animal lover might be less impressed. :)
