<p>I’m thinking of applying to NIH’s summer internship program and I know that you can get a rec from a lab director you’ve worked on and that would look better than a regular teacher, but would it be alright to get one from my graduate mentor from my internship elsewhere? I’m reluctant to ask the professor I was researching under mainly because she was in and out throughout the whole summer and I never got to interact with her much.</p>
