<p>Some of the schools my D is applying to require her counselor to fill out a part of the application and then mail it in to the school. My concern is her counselor is not very reliable. He thinks she is crazy to apply to more than 2 schools. He also did not even know that there was paper work to be filled out so she could take one of her senior classes over the summer so she had more room in her schedule during senior year. He has been a counselor at her school for probably 12 years. One reference letter he wrote a couple years ago for a female student said she was a great asset to the football team. Any suggestion on how to get around this since some of the paperwork has to come directly from him. I don’t want his incompetence to hinder my D’s chances of being accepted to the right school. I apologize if I seem a little critical of him but our experiences have not been good over the past 4 years and from what I understand other students are having the same problem. She tried to get a new counselor but was not able to do so.</p>
