<p>If I mention something in my essay, such as an EC, that’s explained elsewhere in my application, do I need to explain it in the essay or can I assume that they will have read the rest of my app or can refer to it to understand what I’m talking about? Also, if for my EC mini-essay on the common app, if I’m talking about an internship at an organization that they can look up online, do I need to waste precious chunks of the word limit describing the organization?</p>
<p>if it’s specifically explained in ur application, then your definitely fine. even if it’s just mentioned. there’s no need repeating. however, for the internship you might want to put in a sentence (no more) as to what it is.</p>
