<p>I’m writing my supplemental essay for UPenn.
The prompt is “Engineers turn ideas (technical, scientific, mathematical) into reality. Tell us about an engineering idea you have or your interest in engineering. Explain how Cornell Engineering can help you further explore this idea or interest.”
My question refers to the second part of the prompt. UPenn has a pretty good financial aid program and I was wondering if it was okay or taboo to mention the possible scholarship opportunities I would have at UPenn when answering the second part of the question. The financial aid wouldn’t be the only reason I mention, but is it okay to use as one reason?

<p>I wouldn’t–> it may seem pretentious to them, as if you are expecting to get in and get scholarships from an ivy league. I’m sure you have great credentials, but no one is a match to the ivys.</p>
