<p>Just wondering how much room the dorms have for a refrigerator? I am assuming son will be in a triple in ERC, but of course won’t know for sure until late August. The UCSD website says fridges can be up to 5 cubic feet, which is pretty large. Is there room in the triples for a refigerator? Trying to go with a larger one as he needs to store meds and I want to make sure there is room in the fridge for the other 2 roommates to use. Thanks!</p>
<p>I was in a triple as a freshman in ERC and had a mini fridge. I don’t remember what size it was- but it was smaller than 5FT2. There is VERY limited space in the ERC triples. The rooms are 10’10’‘x 17’8’’. My 2 roommates and I all used the fridge, but we didn’t have a lot of food or drinks in it since you have a meal plan. Some people will tell you that if your minifridge is larger than 5ft2 you will get in trouble, but chances are no one will notice…HOWEVER, last year someone brought actual full sized refrigerator. </p>
<p>The only real storage space will be under the bunk bed (not the loft bed), inside your desk, and at the top of your closet (the bottom will be taken up mostly by a dresser). Hope this helps you.</p>
