<p>I find that the bottom freezers work very well - things fit very nearly and since you view it from above and can see the whole top, it’s much easier to find stuff - no more ancient objects lurking in back.</p>

<p>Both Miele and Subzero make very roomy upscale-looking fridge/bottom freezer combos that come in 30" and 36" widths. The best part is it that they have dual compressors, so there is no air circulating between the two chambers, and the foods stay fresher longer. So if you are in the market for an upscale fridge, check them out. I think GE also makes a fridge like that.</p>
<p>I have height restrictions, too. I just looked at the Miele and Subzero, and they are 20+ inches taller than the space I need.</p>
