Contact the school. School policies vary.
Call and ask them. Although it’s unlikely they will be refunded.
There is a reason for such fees. Key Question: Did the college say they were not refundable when you paid them? My daughter made such a commitment fee that was described as refundable and indeed the money was returned when she requested it after choosing to attend another collage.

My D had a put deposit down at a school, then was accepted off a waitlist and decided to attend elsewhere. In her case, part of the fee was non-refundable, and part of it was refundable.
It was hard to lose the money, but the opportunities at the other school were much greater, and the waitlist school offered so much more financial aid, that it was a small price to pay.
Don’t count on it but you need to call the school, or say which university it is in case someone knows.
