Hey there,

Just got my rejection letter from McGill today. The letter says:

The program(s) for which you applied are listed below, along with a brief explanation of the reason for refusal *

B Sc Physical, Earth, Math & Computer Sci - Missing prerequisite courses

I am really surprised; I am an international student from Albania and I study in a five year high school, focused on natural sciences and economics. I’ve taken 5 years of math (including plane/solid geometry, algebra, calculus), 4 years of physics,3 years of chem, 4 years of literature, 1 year of philosophy, 2 years of sociology etc. So I don’t think that I’m not meeting any prerequisites :S

What do you guys think? Am I really missing something, or they’re not admitting me because they don’t recognize the Albanian high schools’ diplomas?

Thanks in advance,
FO

Do you have your TOEFL ?

email them, call them.
check for wat they require on their site.

The thing is for every international student who didnt speak english in their home or school for at least 2 or 3 years has to have their TOEFL with at least 90 and more than 21 in each section …

Yes, I have my TOEFL. 110/120. And they have received it.

I sent them an email, since I couldn’t find anything about the prerequisites on their site :S

I am myself an international student from France and they ask me to have my “baccalaureat” with some grades … maybe it is the same for you or they ask for some undergraduate classes some letters of recommendation …

I sent them an official transcript from my school, for all the 4 years, and the letters of recommendation…

ahhh … the best solution i guess is too call them or to check again on their website what are the requirements …
