Regeneron Talent Search Application

Hi, I am entering the Regeneron Talent Search this fall, and I was wondering how heavily GPA and other aspects of the application that aren’t related to the research itself are weighted by the judges? My GPA is rather low (3.7 UW, my school doesn’t have weighted courses), how much of a negative impact will this have on my chances?
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, and thanks for any feedback.

An unweighted 3.7 GPA is not low at all! That’s above average, and the fact that it is unweighted shines optimistically on your dedication to academic achievement. I think your GPA will benefit you, not hurt you. Always remember that judges usually want to see who the student is behind the research, as well. Your 3.7 UW GPA already speaks well about your dedication to education, and I’m sure judges will weigh that into their consideration of you and your research. If you’re asked about your GPA, find a way to link your dedication to academics with your dedication to your research project, and I’m sure you’ll be fine. Good luck!!
