Regents Application - Should letter of rec match major?

<p>I was invited to apply for the Regent’s scholarship. I applied to UCLA as a chemical engineering major.</p>

<p>Should my letter of rec for the scholarship application be from a math/science teacher? I’m also interested in creative writing, so my sophomore English teacher wrote me a really good recommendation, but it doesn’t match my stated major at all.</p>

<p>My letter of rec was from my calculus teacher and I applied as poli sci so I don’t think it makes a huge difference. Just go with whatever teacher you think will give you the best one.</p>
