Regent's at Riverside and Cal hopeful

<p>My son is secretly wishing for cal admission. Based on the chance thread replies, cal was a reach school for him. </p>

<p>He recently received a letter from Riverside that he has a Rengent’s scholarship. it was his safety, and now with ($40K/ four year), it is a good contender.</p>

<p>Given that Riverside saw beyond his average GPA, would he have an increased chance of getting admission to cal as well?</p>

<p>What’s an average GPA at Cal may be above average at Riverside. The fact that he got Regent’s at Riverside doesn’t really mean anything to Cal (they won’t even know). There’s nothing he can do at this point, so just hope for the best.</p>
