So anyway, I registered for the Jan. 22nd SAT II’s - Maths 2c and Writing. I then decided I did’nt need to do Writing, so on the test day I just sat for Maths 2c and walked out. Is there any chance of a refund ($17), and will I be penlized in any way?

Long story. I registered for Writing 'cause I did’nt know what I would get the first time round (did WR in Dec 04 also). I ended up with a 730, so I didnt want to redo it and risk a lower score

makes sense, from what I understand nothing is sent to colleges if you dont take a test, but the $17.00!!! ohhhh, let it go…people don’t take tests for all kinds of reasons…the SATii don’t have time or couldn’t be bothered sending out notices for that and since you took it already…

To tell you the truth, I don’t really care abt the $17 - i just want to know if I’m going to be penalized in anyway or if my scores will be (gasp!) cancelled cause I didnt do the second test

you could have gotten ill during test, what the math is seperate, its not like sections of the SAT1 which half to be finished same day, you have no worries

I did something similar. I signed up for Chemistry and Math IIC on the same day, but only sat for the Chemistry. They simply took Math IIC off my list of registered tests a few days later. The SAT IIs, apparently, are all interchangable: you could change tests, add tests, and remove tests on test day at will.
