Registered SAT and PSAT under different middle initial - does it matter?

Hi all!

I’m a junior now and I just registered for the January SAT test. I took 2 PSATs before this, once in soph year and once in junior year. During the junior year PSAT, I registered with my name, but I included my middle initial, but for the SAT, I registered without the middle initial…does it make a difference? Both tests showed up on my collegeboard account, so that means collegeboard knows I’m the same person right? LOL
I just wanted to make sure… :D

Thanks!!

I’m not sure, since they both show up on your CollegeBoard account…but I do know that my school stresses that we all make sure that our SAT admissions ticket exactly matches the name we have on EVERYTHING ELSE relating to our CollegeBoard account.

Yea i should have kept it 100% consistent…cuz i didn’t remember if i included a middle initial or not on the psat when i registered for the SAT LOL yeah not smart >.<
But i hope it doesnt matter since it showed up on my account…

Yes it may well matter, but it can be fixed. My son managed to misremember his birthday and we had to call to get it all straightened out.

^^^

ahahaahhaha

Yea, apparently I took the PSAT with my last name as my first name and first name as my last name. Didn’t end up mattering though. I just get duplicate mail from colleges for Last M. First and First M. Last.
