Registering for Ap's arggg I hate it!

I know i have seen many posts for people self studying for Ap’s and I know some cramed last minute, but this is a post of something else, registering.
I talked with the principal and there seems to be a really big problem REGISTERING! That’s right, did all of you just pay $83 and that’s it, and tell the cordinator?
My school DOES offer Ap and it does administer Ap exams, but as far as i can see im the first to self study, erggggg.

The problem they told me is they would have to hire a proctor and ahhhh (and it could even be a secritary) and they would atleast charge $35 an hour. I was so mad and she kept telling me it was a funding problem and they didnt know, so my question is self studyers how did you register, im so disapointed i prepared and now im geting boted, and not only about the test fee. Does anybody pay more then $83 because of the proctering fee’s. Did anybody who self studyed just take the exam by them self’s? Did anybody have the state cover there fees? Did anybody have there state cover there fee’s and self study and take the exam at there own school???
can someone help me?
Please!!! I’m in reall need of advice/help.

I was in the exact same situation a week ago.
I was the only one registering to take the AP Biology and AP Psychology tests from my school, but my school offered neither and denied me the registration for both. What you have to do is register to take it at another school, which I did. Most schools I called however, did not allow me to register there because of space/school policy. Luckily, I found one that had a very generous AP Coordinator, and she even waived the late registration fee for me.

You have to hurry and call schools in your area. The last day to call college board for phone numbers of AP Coordinators in your area was February 28. Several schools have already passed the registration deadline.

Good luck.

darn–I should have talked to my counselor last week then!
