I am an entering freshman. I want to take Econ 11, but I am not sure if I qualify to take it. I emailed the counselor but have yet to receive a reply so can anyone on CC help?

Excerpt from email:
"I am curious whether I will be able to register for the classes I want this fall. I want to take Econ 11 but this class is limited to only sophomores and juniors. I should be entering with 80 credits (from community college and APs) so I should be a sophomore by the number of credits I have. I should be able to take this class, correct?

This course also lists econ 1 and econ 2 as prerequisites. I have completed apparently equivalent courses (econ 1 and econ 2, comparable to ap micro and macro econ) at De Anza College. What should I do so that I can have these fulfill the prerequisites?

I will be on campus from July 9-11 so I should be able to come in if needed. I have just sent UCLA an official copy of my community college transcript. Should I also purchase another copy of the transcript and bring it along to help verify that the classes fulfill the prerequisites, or would an unofficial copy be enough since UCLA should have my official transcripts by then?"

Thanks.
