<p>I looked up classes on the registar’s schedule of classes and noticed that a lot of the math/science classes that I was planning on enrolling in are already full. This is rather bad for me, considering I have one of the last dates for new student orientation (Sep 8). Is there any way to enroll in classes before hand? Or must I face having to go a quarter without getting any classes?</p>
<p>You will get classes. They block off a certain number of classes for each orientation session so everyone has an equal chance of enrolling regardless of their orientation date. The registrar schedule of classes might have the status “closed” for certain classes because they are closed off for continuing students (who have already been able to register for classes) thereby reserving those classes for freshmen first, especially the first courses in the science series (LS, math, chem, etc)</p>
