Registering for classes

i’m looking at the open course list online and all the classes i planned to take are already filled. it seems like there are barely anything left to take!!

don’t worry too much about pass 1 because you can waitlist for the classes you want during pass 2 and you will probably get into them during open registration. if worst comes to worst you will have to get a permission to add.

Help! Where is this “open course list”?

registering for courses is difficult for freshmen. the university operates under a seniority system, whereby those with more units get the best appointment times & get most, if not all, the classes they want. (also students in special programs get priority registration too).

tough luck, your in the bottom of the food chain…

you’ll gain seniority in due time.

Good Luck

I was looking at the open course list, and I found some titles interesting. However, where do I look to get a detailed description of the classes?

Social-Cultural Diversity and Writing Experience

GE requirements

^Thank you for clearing that up! :)

Wait for pass two and the period of two weeks at the beginning of the quarter to change classes around. Also waitlist classes, show up the first day, and try to get a PTA number to add the class if room is available.
