I’m not sure when/how/where we register for our classes as an incoming engineering student; could anyone help me out? Thanks.

They preregister us in classes. We should meet of faculty adviser during orientation if we want to change anything with a preliminary schedule that they make for us. The only other part of registration is the engineering info thing that was a couple months back where they asked whether you prefer intro cs or an intro engineering course.

Don’t worry because you should be able to figure it out during orientation; I can’t imagine that they make it a difficult problem.

Note: I’m also an incoming engineering student so someone correct me if anything I said is wrong.

So they choose all the courses for me and I don’t have to do anything about it before orientation eh? And I find out what classes I’m in at orientation too?

you might not want to leave it all up to chance. at least have in mind which courses you want to take, so you know whether you like your pre-enrolled schedule or not.

and you can check to see if you’ve been pre-enrolled at jtf.cornell.edu

Hmm… It says I’m not enrolled in any classes and have an empty class schedule. So I guess I haven’t been pre-enrolled yet? Should I be calling Cornell; are most people already pre-enrolled? Do I need to add classes to my wish list to get pre-enrolled?

not for engineering, I don’t think anyone has been pre-enrolled yet, so quit worrying. if you see on jtf that you were assigned a program advisor, you might want to try to get in touch with him/her and see if they would like your input as to which courses you want to take.
