OK here’s my situation, I took BC Calc and got a 4 on the AP. I think that gets me 7 credits in MATH. So now I’m looking at which math class to register for and I don’t want to end up taking one that I wont get credit for. Should I take MATH 150/151 or did I get credit for that from taking the AP? If I did already get credit for it, which math should I take?

Check with your advisor, but if I read this[/url”>http://www.mcgill.ca/student-records/transfercredits/ap/"]this right, you get credit for 140 and 141 (cal 1 and 2), hence you should be able to go directly to 222 (cal 3). And, no matter what they tell you, don’t take 150/151, that’s cal 1, 2 and 3 condensed in 2 semester, and the problem is that most students, at least in 150, don’t know that their knowledge of calculus is more shaky than they think and do not realize how intensive the class actually is until it’s too late.

Greyerg, no point taking calculus 151 as it is a combination of Calculus 141 and 222. Go straight to Calculus 222 I would say. For your information, you will not be allowed to retake 140 and 141 if you have sent the AP score to McGill.
