Registering for SAT subject tests

I am confused about how to register to take the subject tests. Do you just complete a normal SAT registration and than just take subject tests? I can’t find anything on collegeboard.com about registering for the subject tests, someone please help!

Yeah, registering for SAT subject tests is a little bit more confusing.

Steps for Online Registration:

 1. Go to www.collegeboard.com.
 2. Click on “Register for the SAT.”
 3. Click on “Register Now.”
 4. Sign in.
 5. Click on “Register for a Test.”
 6. Fill out the form.
 7. Under “My Test,” and “Test type,” there is a link for changing from SAT Reasoning test to SAT Subject Tests.

Make sure you do the above- you can’t just take subject tests when you signed up for the sat I. If you just show up, assuming you can take whatever test you want, you have to go to the standby testing, and you lose everything you paid for the I, plus you then have to pay the standby (there is a standby fee, right?) fee and the cost of the subject tests as well.
