So here’s the deal. I want to take the ACT again, but I feel that taking it for a fourth time would be too much… I got a 28 the first and second times, and I got a 30 the third time. However, if I study, I feel that I can probably score a 33, as last time, my breakdown was (30 English, 34 Math, 28 Reading, and 29 Science).

So would it be a bad idea to sign up for the December test, considering that my first ACT score was without writing, so technically it doesn’t count?

If a score you wanted to use doesn’t count because of a lack of the writing section, I don’t see why you shouldn’t, especially if you think you can improve your score.
Not 100% sure all schools do this, but Universities and Colleges usually only use the scores (from a single test) that benefit you the most so it can’t hurt (ignoring finance that is…)

Congrats on 30 btw, apparently you are not satisfied, but its still a great score to many :D

thank you!

I think I will sign up again. I am going to study hard so that I can get a 33

You’re welcome
Best of luck to you on the retake.
Be sure to come back and give us the good news when you get your scores back ^^
