<p>QZ is quiz section. It’s paired with a lecture, so you don’t get ‘extra credits’ for going to a quiz section.</p>
<p>Let’s say you’re taking CSE 143. There is a Lecture section and a QZ section. Together, it’s 5 hours of class, so 5 credits. When you sign up for a lecture, you <em>have</em> to take a quiz section as well.</p>
<p>Remember that not all lectures have quiz sections (or labs, like chem or physics). However, if you’re in a quiz section, you must be in a lecture.</p>
