When i click look up class on tigeri, i do see closed class with marked C and act 0. what does it mean? nobody registered for that class, but is it closed? like Honors Eng seminar II.
for other class, i do see remaining - something, like -6.

From what I understand, an actual of 0 usually means the class has not opened up yet. Perhaps it is a Freshman level course that is being saved until CWE begins.

I looked it up in the bulletin, and the Honors Eng. Seminar is a 4000 (senior) level course that says it is topics of interest to honors students and engineering faculty. However, I don’t see that course listed under “look up classes” for “fall 2013.” Perhaps it was removed, or you simply got a weird bug in banner.

An actual of -6 means that advisors, or teachers, have added additional students into that class beyond the capacity. Students cannot add themselves to a full class, though. Example: Capacity: 120, Actual: 126. Remaining -6. Another example: Capacity: 0, Actual: -80 Remaining: 0. For the first example, this is usually advisors or teachers adding students into that class. For the second example, this sometimes occurs in majors or colleges where that class only allows students in that major to register for it. Example would be BUSI coursework, which only College of Business students may register for.

Hope I’ve helped.
