<p>I had two versions of my UPenn page 217 essay:

  1. Cynical and maybe even mocking Ivies, but it exposed “me”
  2. Cultural stuff and my aspirations. It displayed my strong writing skills and was definitely safer, but I didn’t feel enough depth like I did with #1</p>

<p>I sent in #2 though…</p>

<p>Should I have sent the former though?</p>

<p>I feel… kind… of… eh.</p>

<p>I know, what’s done is done, but… what do you think?</p>

<p>If you wrote an cynical essay mocking the Ivies, why are you bothering applying to one?</p>

<p>I think you made the wiser choice by far. They can learn about the real you once you matriculate.</p>
