I have already completed my GE requirements. I have an A.S. in Management Info Sys and am in the midst of completing an ADT in Comm (yes, I changed my major).
Originally, my plan was to go to CSUEB next semester for Spring 2020. Completely my fault I did not adequately research the college and simply only chose it because of how it was my house. However, I’m now having second thoughts and overall second guessing myself because possibly I should have chosen SJSU.
Should I wait until I can attend SJSU in the Fall 2020 or just stick with my original choice and continue with CSUEB and obtain my BA in Comm.
You are putting the cart before the horse in that you have not been admitted to SJSU for Fall 2020, so I would not consider that alternative yet. We’re you accepted for SJSU for Spring 2020 and turned it down or you did not apply for Spring?
There is nothing keeping you from attending CSUEB for Spring Semester while you apply to a couple CSU’s for Fall 2020 to see where you get in.
So 2 options right now, attend CSUEB, apply for Fall 2020 at SJSU or stay at your current CC and apply for Fall 2020 at SJSU. If money is an issue, then I would attend CSUEB and get my degree.
I’d encourage you go to EB and quickly wrap up your degree. You might even be able to complete it in 3 semesters + a summer so, you are only there for 18 months. If you join clubs and embrace the school, the time will go in the blink of an eye. If, once you are there, you’ really hate it, you can try to transfer. It is a solid school.
what does SJ have that EB doesn’t?
True… I would much rather complete my degree as quickly as possible and get on with my life. In the back of my mind a degree is a degree no matter college you attend.
