Regular Decision: 20th Friday March 2009

I contacted the Admissions Office and they told me that they were going to release the Regular Decisions on the 20th Friday March 2009 via email.
Good Luck everybody! ;-)

Thanks so much for the info!!

WOw!!! I wonder why they dont post this information on the online portal… Are you sure???

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh the portal has been updated!!! “Regular decisions will be available on March 20, 2009 after 5:00 pm EDT.”

Interesting. Muhlenberg RD decisions went out by snail mail on Monday of this week (my D got her’s on Tuesday). They beat Dickinson by five days. This seems to be increasingly competitive every year as far as notifications.

Well, it’s AFTER 5:00 pm and nothing on the website or in the email.

yeah what’s up with that?

I know from early action that you will get an email that makes you log into the portal, so you probably have to wait for the email…

Just logged in using the user name/password I was given after I applied, and found out my decision.

Yep, my daughter logged in to the website and there it was! She’s in!!! She registered for the April 8 visit cause she’s already committed to visiting Muhlenberg on April 18, the red door family visit for acceptees. This will be our second visit to each college. The first time was last fall before she applied.

my decision is still not online! How could this be?

I’m in!
and with a scholarship :). yay!

I’ve been looking at the freshmen courses now. hahaha

peaceplease9100: Did you log into the Dickerson website using your email address and password? After you do that, there should be a link that says “admission decision.” At the bottom of the admission decision letter, assuming you are admitted, there will be another link at the bottom of the acceptance letter that you can click on to see your financial aid or merit award.

Thanks Plainsman but there is not a link for the admissions decision. … it’s weird. I guess I will just wait for the snail mail :((

^^^

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m sure just a technical glitch. So nothing in your emailbox either? My D also received an email message that contained a link to the admission decision for people who did not know to check the website.

well I don’t know if the fact that I applied early action and got deferred has something to do with it…? I didn’t even get an email!

is there any chance for waitlisted students?

nhoc91: According to the Princeton Review’s “The Best 366 Colleges” 2008 Edition, Dickinson admits 10% of waitlisted applicants. The year the guide was published, Dickinson wait listed 330 applicants out of 5,300. Cheer up. There is hope.

To all of you accepted students (and parents of same) I am the mother of a Dickinson freshman who is having a great year. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

^^^

dg5052: Please define “great year.” For starters. And what state are you.your freshman from. Where in the South?
